Parks & Recreation

Westwood's Parks & Recreation Committee oversees several community events throughout the year.  With the help of resident volunteers and city staff the Council committee plans the the Annual Egg Hunt, the Fourth of July Fireworks display, Movies in the Park, and Oktoberfest.  Many of these events are held at Joe D Dennis Park.

The city's Joe D. Dennis Park is located at the southwest corner of 50th & Rainbow Boulevard in Westwood

2023 Summer Movie Poll

This summer Westwood residents are invited to attend two movie events and we need your help selecting the titles that will be shown on the big screen! Fill out the survey below - the top two vote getters will be shown during the two events below. To participate in this online poll, click here.

Friday, June 23rd: The City will host a movie event in Joe D. Dennis Park at dusk. Admission to this event is free.

Saturday, July 15th: Woodside is honored to welcome all Westwood Residents to attend a movie at the pool. The Family Pool will close to Woodside members at 7pm and reopen to Westwood Residents at 7:30pm. This free event is open to all Westwood Residents, not just Pool Pass holders.

This poll will be open through 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14th.
